Anyway, I’m a student at the University of Virginia. I’m studying Music, and at this point looking to earn a Distinguished Major. I think I go to the most beautiful college on the planet =) It really is a great place.
I want to be a music teacher some day. Everyone knows me as the band nerd. I do marching band, basketball band, wind ensemble, and concert band. I play trumpet primarily, but not exclusively (however, I support monogamy…just not with my love for music). I would love to be drum major in a few years, and I’m active in KKPsi, the band fraternity.
This blog is a collective of my interests: penguins, hot air balloons, music, inspirational quotes, pokemon, starbucks, and more!
All that being said, I obviously also have a deep love for astronomy. Went to a science high school, so science was thrown at me 24/7. I hated biology, chemistry, and physics…but astronomy, and to some extent, planetary sciences in general, really excites me. I did a project my senior year with four other students to find pahoehoe lava on Mars. I know I wouldn’t pursue the field of research, but it would be cool to teach astronomy to kids…I mean, who doesn’t love star-gazing?!?!?!
